ESL SPRING 2021
Our English as a Second Language (ESL) program is currently online only. We do not have any on-site classes taking place at the MVLA Adult School or the Mountain View Senior Center this winter and spring.
We offer ESL classes from Literacy to Advanced level. Classes meet online in the morning (Mon-Fri, 9:00-11:00AM), afternoon (Mon-Thu, 12:30-2:30PM), or evening (Mon-Thu, 6:30-8:30PM). There is additional coursework for students to complete on their own outside of class every week. There are also shorter online classes designed especially for seniors (55+) which meet Mon-Wed-Fri (9:00-10:15AM for beginners and 10:30AM-12:00PM for intermediates). These classes are free.
New students are welcome to join our online ESL classes. Students must be able to attend regularly and must live within driving distance of our school.
Students eligible for ESL classes must take a placement test via Zoom. Interested students can sign up for a testing slot by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or (650) 940-1333, ext. 4015. Appointments will be made for online testing on the next orientation/testing date and you will receive a Zoom invitation link to your session. Please sign up at least 2 days in advance of the placement test date. We suggest contacting us by or before March 29 or April 26.
Spring 2021 Testing Days: March 31, April 28
Orientation and testing will be offered three times per testing day: 9:00-10:30AM, 1:00-2:30PM, 6:30-8:00PM
