ESL Placement Test Registration

All new ESL students must take a placement test in person. Mountain View and Los Altos residents have priority. Residents of other cities will be accommodated if there is space. Students must pre-register for the test in person at MVLA Adult School (333 Moffett Blvd, Mountain View). It is not possible to register over the phone. Space is limited. No walk-ins are allowed for testing. Please do not bring any children on the day of testing. Students must be available to stay for the whole testing period.

Quick Prep Course for Citizenship: An In-Person Workshop
MVLA Adult School, Room 205 Taught in intermediate English Sep 23-26, 2024 12:30PM-3:30PM

In addition to our ongoing in-person and online classes, this September we will be offering a  week-long, intensive workshop designed to help students quickly prepare for the U.S. Citizenship interview. Students should be able to attend all four days of class (12 hours) in person. This workshop is particularly appropriate for students who will be going to their USCIS interview within the next six months.

There is no test for joining a Citizenship class or workshop, but students should be permanent residents eligible for U.S. citizenship and plan to send an application in the next year. Please note: The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in San Jose is currently processing N-400 applications very quickly. We strongly advise signing up for class before you send your application.

Students interested in signing up for any Citizenship class or workshop can contact mvlaeslprogram@gmail.com or 650-940-1333. New students are welcome to start any time and students can take more than one course as desired.
