INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS
High School Students: To begin or continue a course, you must email your counselor in order to obtain a referral for our program. Once your program referral is approved, you will receive an introductory email with instructions on how to complete the orientation online and register for your class.
Zoom, Skype and/or Gmail Chat Support
Your teacher is available for online video chat support for your classes. Please contact your assigned teacher to obtain account and office hours information.
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM FOR ADULTS
Will start late August 2022
All diploma programs meet district and state requirements.
Mountain View Los Altos High School District offers a high school diploma program for persons 18 years of age and older who want to complete their high school credits through a combination of online coursework and regular teacher meetings through Zoom. This program is recommended for adult students who need 50 credits or fewer to complete an MVLA high school diploma. A credit evaluation based on an official e-transcript is required before beginning the program. To be considered for the program, please email all official transcripts to marina.sandoval@mvla.net.
CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT/ONLINE CREDIT RECOVERY
Will start late August 2022
MVLA Adult School offers part-time high school online coursework to currently attending district high school students who are 16 years old or older. Students must consult their high school counselor in order to be officially referred to this program during the regular school year.
YOUNG PARENTS PROGRAM – YPP
Will start late August 2022
Due to the extended physical school closure, the MVLA Adult School will not provide childcare during Winter/Spring 2021. Pregnant and parenting teens in the MVLA district can still earn credits towards their high school diploma through a combination of online coursework and regular teacher meetings through Zoom. Students must consult their high school counselor in order to be officially referred to this program during the regular school year.
